Recital

Last night we had our piano/percussion recital. It was a very small event. Joseph and Cameron and one other girl named Amanda all take lessons from Mrs. Ferrito, a junior high band director. This was the culminating event for their year of lessons.
Since Caroline and Libby have been taking piano lessons since January, they also performed a few little pieces.
We had the recital at the Dalton's house and it was PERFECT! It's not often that you get to go to a recital that lasts a total of 30 minutes. ;)

Crossover

The day after graduation, we had Crossover for cub scouts. This year wasn't too big of a deal because Joseph is already a Webelo, but he is now officially a Webelo II.
The Crossover Ceremony happened in conjunction with a family picnic.
Some of us brought some light reading along to keep us entertained.

It's not often that Joseph, Cameron and Alex are all this close together and not moving.

Graduation

I have been a blogger slacker again. I am going to make some serial posts and try to catch up.

Libby's graduation from Scottish Rite was a wonderful ending to the two years we spent there.
These pictures are all courtesy of Alex. I tend to forget about the camera when there are a lot of people around. :p

Dinner before graduation was at Genghis Grill per our graduate's request.

We got there before grandparents and friends and killed some time with some thumb wars.

Genghis Grill is one of those entertaining-to-watch-them-cook kind of places.

The centerpiece was made by the graduates. There is one figure made by each student representing themselves.

A really cute picture of Libby opening her gift from the Daltons with Cameron looking on (he was very interested in the "How to Train your Dragon" books)

We had quite the crowd representing Libby! Davis grandparents, Reed grandparents, Aunt Shelley and cousin Matt, all four Daltons, 2 brothers, 1 sister and two parents!

Could it be.....

that we are REALLY at the end?! Today was our last "real" day at Scottish Rite for Libby. Tomorrow she will spend her time doing graduation rehearsal and the graduation is tomorrow night.
Here are The Putnam 5 on their last day at SR.
Here are Joseph and Caroline sitting in the window sill next to the view that we have seen four days a week for the last two years.

Rainbow

We had a wonderful rain shower on Monday while we were at German dancing. On the way home, it was pouring on the east side of the highway and really sunny on the west side...perfect conditions for a rainbow! (This was taken with my cell phone so you can imagine how vivid it REALLY was.)
