Could we have ever imagined a year ago....

That our little girl who could not identify all of the letters and the sounds that went with them, would be reading a Roald Dahl book today?
Amazing! :D

Dog Hotel Slide Show

Dog and Cat Hotel Production

What a fun show! The girls absolutely had a blast! I am going to add the pictures as a slide show because there are just too many to get on here.
We also have a video of the production, but that may take a few days to figure out how to cram it on here. :p

Here is the link to slideshow if it didn't come through in the previous post.
Dog Hotel

Dog and Cat Hotel Drama Camp

The girls have been in drama camp all this week and today is the BIG SHOW.
They are doing an original play based on Dog Hotel (loosely based ;)).

Caroline is Lady (I told you it was loosely based!)

Joseph, not wanting to be left out today, put on his Underdog costume. ;)

Stay tuned for pictures from the actual show. The girls are supposed to do make-up when they get there today.

Volleyball!

The girls had their first Volleyball game today. This is even more interesting when you know that there are no practices with this league because it is summertime. The girls had a great time and really liked being with the "big girl" (most of the girls are Joseph's age).
Caroline picked right up on the swaying-back-and-forth-while-you-wait-for-a-serve thing

Check out those knee pads!

You have heard of the Princess and the Pea....

but, did you know that she lives here?

Today, we picked up a quick lunch from Taco Bueno and brought it home to eat after our library trip. Libby ordered a bean burrito. She took one bite and said, "there is salad in this burrito." (which is, of course, a deal breaker) I told her to bring it to me so I could remove the offending vegetation, but there was nothing there but beans and tortilla. So, she went back to the table and continued eating until she got about two bites from the end.
"AHA! I TOLD you there was salad in this burrito!" she says to me.

Paper Engineering

Remember how Joseph is REALLY into pop-up books? I found him a "Paper Engineering" book at Half Price Books and he is has been very busy making projects from it.
Here are our "Cube Bobbleheads"...we all made one.
Joseph is trying to make the cast of Sesame Street (see Zoe and Elmo?), the girls are making princesses and I made the little Harlequin Jester Guy.

Homeschool Day at Hawaiian Falls

Joseph and I going down the middle orange slide at Hawaiian Falls in The Colony. ;D
